The style of this print borrows from the Dutch engraved ketubahs from the 17th century and includes imagery from the seven species of plants mentioned in the Torah. In the medallion is, “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.” In the outer border are three English translations of the Hebrew inner border. They are: “ My beloved spoke and said to me: Arise my love, my fair one and come away. The flowers appear on the earth and the time of singing has come; and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in the land; the fig tree puts forth her green figs; and the vines in blossom give forth their fragrance. Arise my love, my fair one and come away. “ And “I have found the one in whom my soul delights,” and “Set me as a seal upon your heart.”
